About The Position
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar, Instruction position for the Fall 2026 semester. The selected candidate will teach at the undergraduate level, including general chemistry, along with supervision of the associated laboratories with the help of graduate teaching assistants. In addition to general chemistry, the opportunity may arise to teach either analytical or organic chemistry.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or related discipline.
- Completion of a doctoral degree in the appropriate discipline within the five years immediately preceding the first date of appointment as a postdoctoral fellow at the University.
- Cannot have held previous positions in the professional ranks.
Responsibilities
- Teach at the undergraduate level, including general chemistry.
- Supervise associated laboratories with the help of graduate teaching assistants.
- Potentially teach analytical or organic chemistry.
