Postdoctoral Scholar - Chemistry
About The Position
The laboratory of Professor Rongchao Jin in the Department of Chemistry, at The Pennsylvania State University, seeks to fill a postdoctoral research position in the area of atomically precise nanochemistry. Research will focus on the synthesis of atomically precise nanoclusters of gold and alloys. The successful candidate should demonstrate extensive experience in wet chemistry, isolation and crystallization of atomically precise nanoclusters. Applicants must have recently received, or be scheduled to receive, a Ph.D. in Chemistry by the time employment starts. The individual should be self-motivated and is expected to lead the projects, as well as contribute to collaborative research efforts. This is a term position; length of the term will be discussed during the interview process. Continuation past the term length discussed will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.
Requirements
- Recently received, or be scheduled to receive, a Ph.D. in Chemistry by the time employment starts
- Extensive experience in wet chemistry
- Extensive experience in isolation and crystallization of atomically precise nanoclusters
- Self-motivated
