About The Position

A postdoctoral training position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jonathan Mosley, in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center to identify opportunities to apply polygenic variation in complex traits to clinical and public health practice. Our laboratory has several exciting projects related to applying innovative genomic approaches to identify opportunities to use genetic background to inform clinical and public health decision-making, to identify risk factors and biomarkers of disease, and to identify and reduce heath inequities in vulnerable populations.

Requirements

  • Recent Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree.
  • Experience in genetic epidemiology or population genetics leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Responsibilities

  • Apply polygenic variation in complex traits to clinical and public health practice.
  • Apply innovative genomic approaches to identify opportunities to use genetic background to inform clinical and public health decision-making.
  • Identify risk factors and biomarkers of disease.
  • Identify and reduce health inequities in vulnerable populations.
