About The Position

The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Johns Hopkins University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position focused on developing electrochemical processes for chemical separations and resource recovery. Research areas include electrochemical separations for critical mineral recovery, carbon capture and utilization, and sustainable chemical manufacturing. The successful candidate will conduct experimental research involving electrochemical system design, membrane and electrode materials, reactor development, process optimization, and mechanistic studies. The position also offers opportunities to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and contribute to proposal development, mentoring of graduate students, and dissemination of research through publications and presentations.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrochemistry, or a related field
  • Strong background in electrochemistry, chemical separations, membrane science, or related areas
  • Demonstrated publication record in peer-reviewed journals
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities
