About The Position

Texas A&M University–Central Texas is hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher/Assistant or Associate Research Scientist to work in the Center for Cybersecurity Innovation. The role focuses on Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, and high-performance computing, supporting research in agentic AI, next-generation deep learning architectures, privacy-preserving techniques, automated real-time cyber threat detection and mitigation, and the development of a dedicated, multi-user HPC lab. The HPC facility will provide open, high-capacity computing infrastructure for researchers, faculty, and students across the university. The successful candidate will develop practical agentic AI solutions for cybersecurity anomaly detection, conduct empirical evaluations, investigate privacy-preserving methods, and help establish and operate the HPC lab. The position is currently grant-funded, with funding anticipated to end November 22, 2027. The university intends to retain the position after the grant ends if financially feasible. This is an on-campus, non-remote position in Killeen, Texas. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; the posting notes that restrictions may affect the university’s ability to sponsor employment visas.
