Under the supervision of an SDSU Faculty member, this position is intended to provide mentored advanced training to enhance professional skills and research independence in the postdoctoral academic discipline. The successful applicant for this postdoctoral position must have a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry with years of extensive experience in designing and operating multi-photon nonlinear laser wave-mixing spectroscopic methods, along with necessary optoelectronics using a wide range of lasers including compact solid-state lasers, for sensitive detection of chemicals, analytes, biomarkers, viruses, cancer cells, etc. In addition, the applicant must have years of experience in analytical chemistry, separation techniques, especially capillary electrophoresis, chromatography, microfluidics, microarrays, etc.
