About The Position

Responsible for providing safe, effective and compassionate care to Brown University Health patients under supervision, commensurate with his/her level of advancement and responsibility. Requirements

• PhD with doctoral degree in a relevant discipline or MD with relevant residency training or doctoral degree in a relevant discipline.
• Completion of relevant doctoral degree or MD and relevant residency; experience working within a research team.

Responsibilities

• Full-time research and training as appropriate for the individual’s training plan.
• The fellow will be matched with a research mentor based on their interests and experience and the availability of potential mentors.
• Individually tailored goals will be established.
• The Fellow will be exposed to various aspects of research through participation in the following activities: Review of relevant literature and participation in a range of research activities.
• Completion of pilot projects or examination of data from the mentor’s line of research.
• From this work, the Fellow will prepare manuscripts and presentations for national conferences.
• The fellow will develop and submit research proposals during the fellowship period.
• Didactic educational opportunities can complement research activities and mentorship.
