The Postdoctoral Research Fellow is a terminal-degree scholar (DBA in Business intelligence or DSC in Cybersecurity, who will provide structured research mentorship, methodological guidance, and scholarly development support to current doctoral students. This role is embedded within the College of and is designed to support the full-time faculty Committee Chair to ensure doctoral student progress, enhance research quality, and increase scholarly productivity. The position offers near-peer mentorship, methodology expertise, or content technical expertise in cybersecurity and business intelligence.

  • Terminal-degree scholar (DBA in Business intelligence or DSC in Cybersecurity)

Responsibilities

  • Function as the Second Committee member in the DBA in Business Intelligence or DSc in Cybersecurity
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group mentoring to doctoral students across dissertation phases (topic development, proposal, research design, analysis, and writing)
  • Support students in refining research questions, using qualitative and quantitative methodologies, understanding academic writing, and interpreting theoretical frameworks
  • Guide students in the ethical and effective use of AI tools for research, and data analysis
  • Assist with dissertation timelines, milestone planning, and completion strategies
  • Contribute to co-authored publications where appropriate
  • Design and deliver workshops on research methods, academic writing and publishing, and dissertation planning and execution
  • Assist with grant-funded initiatives related to AI, cybersecurity, business intelligence, or workforce development

  • Remuneration based on the number of doctoral students mentored; up to $300 per student.
