Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Neurology (Dr. Soto)
About The Position
UTHealth Houston’s Neurology Department is hiring for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join their team of professionals. The Postdoc will be responsible for assisting faculty researchers and collaborators, or working independently, in planning and designing research experiments; operating specialized scientific equipment; conducting data collection, processing, and analysis; participating in fieldwork and contributing to the preparation of scientific publications and reports; presenting project results to internal and external stakeholders; and may provide training and guidance to staff and graduate assistants. Requirements
- Doctoral/Terminal Degree
- Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
- Possess interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and communicate with individuals at all levels.
- Have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
Responsibilities
- Plans and conducts experiments, analyzes data, and prepares publications describing results.
- Assists in training and mentoring of lab personnel, including graduate students and other trainees.
- Reads and evaluates literature.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
