About The Position
The successful candidate is expected to perform high-level theoretical research at the interface of theoretical physics and artificial intelligence (AI). The individual will work primarily with Jim Halverson and Fabian Ruehle and will become a Junior Investigator at the National Science Foundation (NSF) AI Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Fundamental Interactions (IAIFI), where they will participate in IAIFI activities and interact with scientists from Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Tufts.
Requirements
- PhD in Physics or an adjacent field, such as Mathematics, completed by the start of the appointment
- Knowledge of High Energy Theory and Machine Learning, as usually acquired through a PhD in Physics or a related field
Nice To Haves
- Experience in string theory
- Experience in artificial intelligence (AI)
Responsibilities
