The James C. Wyant College of Optical Sciences is seeking applicants to fill a Postdoctoral Research Associate position specializing in extreme NLO Interactions in semiconducting materials. Requirements

  • Ph.D in Physics, Applied Mathematics or a related field upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong record in developing novel computational strategies to solve complex physics problems.
  • Relevant experience in nonlinear analysis of pdes and parallel computation.

Responsibilities

  • Pursue research in semiconductor many-body theory and extreme nonlinear optics.
  • Develop new computational strategies to port multi-dimensional integrodifferential equations, describing higher order scattering/correlations to specialist large scale GPU hardware.
  • Carry out independent research, work closely with colleagues and disseminate research through publications.
