About The Position

The Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Neuroscience, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, is seeking a postdoctoral research associate. The chosen candidate will use skills in molecular biology, biochemistry, statistical testing and evaluation, as well as expertise in animal model systems of neurodegenerative diseases. The latter include Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease (PD and AD). Candidate will work with HIV / AIDS pathobiology, tissue culture viral propagation, viral detection, and analyses at the cellular level of virus-induced pathobiology in primary CD4+ T and myeloid cells. Position will work with animal models of PD and AD.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Scientific Field
• Skills in molecular biology
• Skills in biochemistry
• Skills in statistical testing and evaluation
• Expertise in animal model systems of neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease)
