About The Position
The Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Neuroscience, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate to join our research team investigating the mechanisms of HIV -associated aging and neuroimmune dysfunction.
Requirements
- Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree in Immunology, Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Virology, Molecular Biology, or a related biomedical field
- Strong publication record
- Demonstrated expertise in HIV or infectious disease research or aging-related studies
- Hands-on experience in immunological techniques (flow cytometry, immune profiling, cell culture)
- Hands-on experience in neuroscience research (immunohistology and immunofluorescence imaging and associated data analysis, biochemical (measurement of reactive oxygen species from cells and tissues) and molecular biology methods (Western blotting, ELISA , PCR , omics-based analyses)
- Small animal handling
