The Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University (WSU) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to serve in the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. This is a 12-month annual, full-time, fixed-term appointment located at the WSU Health Sciences campus in Spokane, WA. The initial contract is for one year, with potential for annual extension based on satisfactory performance, mutual consent, and available funding. The position reports to Franck Carbonero, Associate Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. The research projects are supported by three USDA grants focusing on in vitro fermentation and gut microbiome analyses of quinoa, pulses, buckwheat, and non-traditional wheat and barley varieties, as well as a human intervention trial with cranberry juice and its impact on the gut and vaginal tract microbiome.
