About The Position

The Lab of Dr. Nicole Halmai in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences at the University of Arizona College of Medicine–Phoenix seeks a motivated researcher to join its functional genomics and cancer genomic medicine research team. The role focuses on establishing, characterizing, and manipulating 3D cell cultures (patient-derived organoid lines) from human tumor biopsies to identify clinically relevant molecular subtypes, drug targets, and biomarkers that can improve cancer treatment and precision medicine, with the ultimate goal of addressing cancer health disparities. The successful candidate will conduct advanced multidisciplinary cancer genomics research under the direction of the principal investigator, develop and lead complex research projects, and contribute to collaborations, publications, grant applications, and laboratory operations. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, and is eligible for visa sponsorship.
