About The Position

Texas A&M AgriLife is comprised of the following Texas A&M University System members: Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Texas A&M AgriLife Research, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University, Texas A&M Forest Service, Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory. We are seeking a postdoctoral research associate responsible for conducting research on plant interactions with pathogens and insects. The research questions include developing improved diagnostics and deciphering the molecular mechanisms involved in pathogen transmission, herbivory, and/or plant infection.

Requirements

  • PhD in related field.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Nice To Haves

  • Bioinformatics experience.
  • Experience with molecular biology - sequencing, signaling.

Responsibilities

  • Protocol development and evaluation.
  • Conduct molecular research and data collection.
  • Data analysis and reporting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
