About The Position

The Center for Economy and Society, a division of the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University, is seeking to fill two or more postdoctoral fellowship positions in Moral and Political Economy. These fellowships are for a three-year term. Fellows will be responsible for teaching two sections or seminars in their first year, and up to three sections or seminars in their second and third years. Additionally, they will advise senior thesis students in the major. Fellows are required to reside in the Baltimore-Washington region during the academic year and actively engage in the intellectual life of the Center for Economy and Society. The fellowship offers an annual stipend of $70,000, along with modest budgets for moving and research expenses.

Requirements

  • Anticipate having a Ph.D. in hand prior to the anticipated start date of July 1, 2027.
  • Scholars working on cross-disciplinary topics related to moral and political economy.

  • Current faculty and postdocs have PhDs in the fields of Economics, History, Political Science, Public Policy, and Sociology.

Responsibilities

  • Teach two sections or seminars in the first year.
