The Postdoctoral Fellow provides for an internship and continuation of scholarly activity and research after achieving the PhD or other doctoral degree under the direction of a senior faculty member who serves as a mentor for the postdoctoral appointee. The Department of Biological Sciences at The University of Alabama invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship sponsored by the Edward O. and Irene K. Wilson Endowed Fund for Biological Research and Education. The endowment provides fellowships for postdoctoral scholars in taxonomy, museum collections, curation, and the science of natural history. Fellows will work under the supervision of one or more Biological Sciences faculty conducting relevant research.
