About The Position
The Schafer Laboratory in the Department of Neurobiology at UMass Chan Medical School is seeking a motivated, creative postdoctoral fellow. The laboratory uses mouse models and human samples to investigate how neural-immune signaling regulates neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration, with a focus on microglia, the brain-resident macrophages.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in neurobiology, cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, or a related field
- Previous peer-reviewed publications
- Strong experimental, analytical, and scientific-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Previous experience in neural-immune signaling and microglia biology
- Experience working with mouse models
