About The Position

The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts + Sciences at Indiana University, consists of a well-rounded research community with cutting-edge expertise in a wide variety of modern disciplines including analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, materials chemistry, and biochemistry. A postdoc position is available for the design, synthesis, and electron microscopy characterization of nanomaterials for applications in heterogenous catalysis and plasmonics. In this federally funded project, the postdoc will collaborate with scientists at other US institutions and National Laboratories to pursue cutting-edge scientific research. The incumbent will have the opportunity to participate in professional development activities according to their professional goals. These include grant writing opportunities, seminars and conference attendance.

Requirements

Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field.
Experience in the design, synthesis, and electron microscopy characterization of nanomaterials.
Experience in heterogenous catalysis and plasmonics.
Ability to collaborate with scientists at other US institutions and National Laboratories.
Interest in professional development activities such as grant writing, seminars, and conference attendance.
