About The Position
The Kamphorst Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to lead projects focused on immune-cell interactions that regulate response to cancer immunotherapy. The project will investigate how CD4 T cells, CD8 T cells, and antigen-presenting cells interact within the liver tumor microenvironment in response to PD-1 targeted therapy. The postdoctoral fellow will work with mouse models of cancer, including hepatocellular carcinoma.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Immunology or related Biological Science required
- Experience working in a research laboratory setting
- Experience with molecular biology techniques (cloning), advanced flow cytometry and tissue imaging, and in vivo work with mice is required.
- Computational skills also desired.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with research in mice
- Strong background on flow cytometry, molecular biology and gene expression analysis is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform independent research in the area of T cell biology and tumor immunology.
- Critically analyze data quality and results, communicate results to scientists and lay people
- Write or assist in writing scientific papers and grants
- Collaborate closely with other scientists to conduct research
- Designing and performing experiments
- Collecting and analyzing data
- Reviewing literature relevant to the research objectives
- Preparing research and fellowship proposals, reports, and manuscripts
