About The Position

The Department of Biology at Indiana University Bloomington is a large, unified department with strong undergraduate degrees, nationally-ranked graduate programs, and world-class research spanning diverse areas of biology. The Danthi laboratory is seeking a Postdoctoral research fellow for an NIH-supported project focused on the detection of reovirus infection. This research investigates how viral and host factors influence the exposure and accumulation of viral RNA within cells, and the consequences of aberrant viral RNA exposure. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research and initiate new projects related to reovirus-host interactions. The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge, experience, and confidence to work independently and support other laboratory members.
