The Department of Biology at Indiana University Bloomington is a large, unified department with strong undergraduate degrees, nationally-ranked graduate programs, and world-class research spanning the breadth of biological questions and experimental systems. The Landeta Lab in the Department of Biology is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to investigate processes in the bacterial cell envelope, with an emphasis on oxidative protein folding. The overarching goal for this position is to make timely progress on NIH and CFF grants, which seek fundamental insights into novel oxidative reactions, exported proteins dependent on disulfide bonds, substrate specificity among thiol-disulfide oxidoreductases, and the discovery of novel inhibitors against oxidative folding. The lab is excited about science and looking for a positive, curious person to join their team.
