A full-time postdoctoral position is available to study immuno-engineering and develop novel, biomaterial-based immunotherapeutics in the laboratory of Dr. Jamal Lewis. This position is for an initial one-year appointment and has the potential to be renewed for an additional year based on performance and funding availability. The role involves advancing a novel platform of immune-modulatory biomaterial particles designed to attenuate aberrant immune responses in rheumatoid arthritis. The candidate will collaborate with materials scientists, chemists, and immunologists on particle synthesis, in-vitro and in-vivo validation, and translational pathway design. This is a highly collaborative position requiring close work with other faculty in the Biomedical Engineering department, and researchers at UF College of Medicine and the UF College of Pharmacy.
