About The Position
We are seeking experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurses for long-term contract opportunities on a 28-bed post-surgical unit in Topeka, Kansas. The unit cares for patients following bariatric, urologic and nephrology procedures, along with patients requiring treatment for GI conditions, wounds, infections, amputations, and other surgical needs. Typical staffing ratios are 1:6.
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- ADN or BSN
- Minimum 1 year of acute-care Med/Surg experience
- Epic experience preferred
Nice To Haves
- Progressive Care or Step-Down experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Care for patients following bariatric, urologic and nephrology procedures.
- Treat patients requiring treatment for GI conditions, wounds, infections, amputations, and other surgical needs.
- Work on a 28-bed post-surgical unit.
- Float to other post-surgical and Med/Surg inpatient units may be required.
