The Ads & Experiences department is dedicated to bringing innovative projects to life with a high level of attention to detail and a determination to achieve excellence. The Post-Production Producer will be responsible for producing all advertising projects for the Toronto ADS team, ensuring client satisfaction, managing budgets and schedules, and collaborating with various departments and clients. The role involves quoting on potential VFX opportunities, managing project timelines, crew planning, workflow setup, and ensuring smooth project execution. The producer will also communicate regularly with clients, oversee project progress, anticipate issues, and contribute to business development initiatives. Additionally, the role requires fostering a positive work environment and may involve producing Film & Episodic VFX projects when needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position, in post-production in the advertising sector.
  • Relevant experience in visual effects and knowledge of the VFX process required.
  • Demonstrated positive leadership and strong teamwork skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Good ability to manage stress under pressure and maintain a positive and composed attitude.
  • Excellent sense of priorities and respect for deadlines and budgets.
  • Must be available for occasional travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Shotgrid project management software is an asset.
  • Knowledge of GSuite and Monday, an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the bidding process for all advertising opportunities in collaboration with the global ADS team.
  • Produce advertising projects for Toronto, establish timelines, and manage the VFX/post-production schedule.
  • Handle crew planning tasks, including sketching bookings for potential projects, adding bookings for confirmed projects, and participating in weekly resource meetings for ADS.
  • Help set up workflow and processes for grading and online sessions.
  • Assign key talent to projects in collaboration with various departments, and organize kick-off meetings with HOD and the crew planning team.
  • Ensure all projects are running smoothly by verifying tasks are created and assigned to artists, and that artists' estimates and timelogs are properly entered. Work closely with a coordinator when needed.
  • Communicate regularly with clients on project status and build a positive, collaborative working relationship.
  • Oversee project progress and efficiency, ensure full tracking of the schedule and budget, and maintain up-to-date Shotgrid records.
  • Anticipate potential time and budget issues and client-requested changes, and adjust quotes and schedules accordingly.
  • Maintain regular communication with the production team regarding all important project information.
  • Collaborate on post-mortem meetings, identify areas for improvement, and ensure all issues are addressed.
  • Support business development initiatives in collaboration with the Executive Producer.
  • Actively monitor the work climate within the team and take steps to encourage a positive work environment and adherence to company values.
  • Produce Film & Episodic VFX projects when needed.
  • Perform all other tasks related to the position.
