About The Position

New Horizon Co-op is hiring a Part-Time Post Office Team Member at our Downtown Food Store in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Co-op does business differently. Requirements

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Enthusiastic approach to work
  • Basic computer skill is required
  • Practical working knowledge of daily retail operations
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Some heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) may be required
  • Availability to work on a very flexible schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual – Written and Oral skills in both French & English will be an asset
  • Post Office experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide an excellent customer experience by ensuring queries and concerns regarding postal services are resolved appropriately
  • Operate a computer to key in data where applicable, and review mail items for address accuracy and proper postage.
  • Process financial transactions (cash, debit & credit card payments) through the cash register and point of sale system
  • Maintain and organize postal service area
  • Execute activities related to store merchandising initiatives to offer customers additional products and services (e.g., special sale items)
  • Perform additional duties as required
