About The Position

The Future Computing Technology Group at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking highly motivated post-master's researchers to join our team to simulate quantum systems using both classical and quantum simulation techniques. In this role, you will explore and develop advanced methodologies and techniques for classical simulation of quantum many-body systems via neural quantum states. Additionally, you will work on the compilation, deployment, and simulation of these systems on emerging quantum hardware, with the goal of extrapolating your findings toward demonstrating practical quantum advantage. Your research and technical contributions in these domains are expected to generate high-impact papers targeting publication in leading computer architecture and machine learning venues. Specifically, you will focus on sharing your novel techniques and experimental results at premier international conferences, including the International Symposium on Computer Architecture (ISCA), the Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS), and the International Symposium on Microarchitecture (MICRO).
