Lorenz Clinic of Family Psychology is offering a nationally recognized, full-time, paid psychotherapy training position for pre-licensed mental health clinicians pursuing LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC licensure in Minnesota. This two-year fellowship is designed for clinicians who want the pre-licensure period to be genuinely developmental, focusing on relational, systemic, and developmentally informed psychotherapy. The program is rigorous and structured around the fellow's developmental stage and learning goals rather than productivity targets. It follows a cohort model with an interprofessional composition of fellows from counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, and psychology. The fellowship addresses all 16 APA Competency Benchmark domains through various training activities including supervision, seminars, grand rounds, and case consultation. Fellows provide psychotherapeutic services to a variety of clients under direct supervision, typically carrying 12-18 active clients. Three program tracks are available: Outpatient psychotherapy (individual, couples, family, and group therapy), and Intensive outpatient group psychotherapy. Historically, approximately 88% of second-year fellows who seek staff positions at Lorenz following program completion find them here, with many current supervisors and clinical leaders being former PMF alumni.
