About The Position

The Post Judgment Recovery (PJR) Specialist supports the progression of post judgment recovery cases through research, accurate recordkeeping, preparation of legal documents, coordination of service of process, and attorney scheduling. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work independently while following established instructions and procedures. The specialist uses available resources and sound judgment to identify practical solutions and keep cases moving forward. This position is in-office, not a remote opportunity. Working schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break and two 15-minute paid breaks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including accurate spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow business procedures and written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned tasks, and follow through with minimal ongoing supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Ability to coordinate schedules, maintain calendars, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Resourcefulness, critical thinking, and the ability to think outside the box while working within established procedures.
  • Basic computer, typing, and data entry skills; ability to navigate databases and learn case management systems.
  • Familiarity with court e-filing systems and electronic document submission.
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook skills, including email, calendar management, and meeting invitations.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills, including entering and updating data, sorting information, and maintaining simple tracking spreadsheets.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Research computer databases, public records, tax and legal filings, and other available sources to locate individuals and identify the best-known addresses for recovery and service of process.
  • Run asset checks, review available information, and analyze collectability to support post judgment recovery efforts.
  • Review case files, records, and requests to determine appropriate next steps within established procedures and assigned responsibilities.
  • Prepare and sort legal documents, subpoenas, and court packets; coordinate with process server vendors to obtain service.
  • Prepare and submit documents through court e-filing systems as directed, and track filing confirmations or items requiring follow-up.
  • Use Microsoft Outlook to coordinate and schedule attorney appearances, maintain multiple calendars, and communicate scheduling updates.
  • Track assigned deadlines, prioritize competing tasks, and follow through on outstanding requests, filings, and service updates.
  • Enter new and updated account information, compile and verify data, and maintain accurate case notes and records.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with attorneys, coworkers, courts, and vendors to obtain information and resolve case or scheduling issues.
  • Use available resources to solve problems independently, consider alternative approaches within approved procedures, and seek guidance when an issue exceeds assigned authority.
  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy and payment processing, and identify discrepancies for follow-up.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions, protect confidential information, and support efficient records management.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including typing, answering phones, and assisting with related team projects as assigned.
