About The Position

The Post-Harvest Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all processes in the department, including harvest, destemming, proper weighing, tracking, and inspecting all cannabis flower intended for packaging. They are also responsible for communicating with Leads to follow through with tasks assigned by the Processing Manager. This position is an integral part of the harvest, cure, and trim process at Ayr Wellness, focusing on effective teamwork, ensuring accurate reporting in the state-mandated inventory tracking system, and ensuring only the highest-quality, well-manicured cannabis flower is packaged for sale to customers.

Requirements

  • Must meet age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agencies.
  • Able to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies.
  • Able to provide valid badging/credentials as required by state cannabis agencies.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong desire to produce a high-quality product.
  • Ability to multi-task repeatedly with exceptional attention to detail with minimal errors.
  • Excellent PC Skills and expertise in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Proven record of boosting team performance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers.
  • Must be dependable, professional, and confident.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • High school diploma/GED
  • 1-3 years of experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a horticultural or agricultural field or demonstrated experience in horticulture or agricultural production preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring a safe working environment by performing safety audits and corrective actions.
  • Adhering to and managing the AYR Operating System (AOS) within the assigned area.
  • Assisting the Post-Harvest Manager in organizing, planning, and implementing departmental strategies.
  • Auditing Leads' inspection and weighing of cannabis flower, stems, stalks, and fan leaves, and inputting data into tracking software.
  • Scheduling labor and managing daily adjustments to meet production requirements.
  • Ensuring Quality Control of the assigned area, producing a clean, seedless, pest, and pathogen-free product.
  • Reporting any instances of mold, mildew, seeds, pests, or pathogens to the Post-Harvest Manager.
  • Tracking attendance and performance of assigned team members and aiding in the hiring process.
  • Scheduling training and providing feedback to team members during their training period.
  • Assisting with any other post-harvest process tasks as necessary.
  • Allocating duties to Post-Harvest Leads and Technicians.
  • Fostering a positive work environment, treating everyone with dignity and respect, and perpetuating curiosity for 'everything cannabis'.
