About The Position

This is an overnight position that requires the selected candidate to work events and post-events as needed, including weekends and holidays. As an ABM Onsite Post Operations Manager for the Sports & Entertainment Vertical Market, you will be responsible for the operational and financial success of your project. You will lead a diverse team, engage in regular client interaction, ensure quality services are provided in alignment with contractual agreements and budgetary requirements, achieve operational and financial goals, and plan and direct activities to promote project profitability. This includes controlling expenses, retaining current customers, and expanding billable services.

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of experience managing employees.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish).
  • Cleaning/janitorial experience.
  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) proficiency required.
  • Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record is required to operate company vehicles to and from customer work sites.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to give effective presentations to small and large groups.
  • Resourceful team player with a positive outlook and approachable demeanor.
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Sports and Entertainment industry a plus.
  • Experience effectively managing teams: solid staff retention, counseling and developing team members, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Assess contract requirements and develop work plans to provide services in a timely, cost-effective manner.
  • Utilize knowledge of labor agreements to ensure contract provisions are met.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with customers, meeting with them to conduct inspections, discuss special needs or changes in service, and plan for future needs.
  • Provide customers with information regarding additional services available at ABM.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints/feedback.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure services meet contract requirements and to promote customer retention.
  • Inform management and leadership of work status, identify potential issues, and recommend appropriate action.
  • Participate in regular meetings and calls with other ABM management to review project-specific issues and develop recommendations.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, independently planning activities to meet objectives and keeping leadership informed of business issues impacting project effectiveness.
  • Promptly escalate serious issues to immediate management.
  • Ensure excellent customer service to promote customer retention, enhance service delivery, and sell services.
  • Work closely with frontline personnel to meet customer requirements.
  • Determine training requirements and identify sources to meet training and development needs.
  • Recommend staffing levels and work with management and HR to hire, train, and evaluate staff.
  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with customers and act as the face of ABM for the customer.
  • Understand customer requirements and offer ABM services to meet their needs.
  • Increase billable services provided by ABM and add value to the customer by providing additional or periodic services (TAG work).
  • Manage inventory control to ensure labor and supplies are within budget.
  • Report accidents and property damage accurately and in a timely manner.
