Dr. Mitchel Stacy's lab is focused on the development and validation of quantitative imaging techniques that allow for characterization of cardiovascular diseases and vascular remodeling. Of particular interest is PET imaging of skeletal muscle perfusion and PET/CT-based molecular imaging of vascular inflammation and calcification in the setting of Peripheral Artery Disease. Experimental work and training will be focused on pre-clinical models of peripheral vascular disease (small and large animal) and clinical cardiovascular imaging. Clinical imaging projects will be conducted in collaboration with the Ohio State University College of Medicine and additional pediatric hospitals across the United States. Conducts research, designs experiments, analyzes data, and presents findings under the mentorship of an established RI principal investigator or Senior Research Scientists. Appointment is a maximum of 7 years in length.
