About The Position

Manage the day-to-day operations of a large, federally funded randomized clinical trial investigating an AI-assisted music therapy intervention for anxiety in patients living with advanced cancer. Work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research team comprised of music therapists, oncologists, psychologists, biostatisticians, machine learning engineers, software developers, and integrative medicine specialists. Conduct quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods analyses of datasets in collaboration with the biostatistics team. Lead and contribute to manuscript preparation, grant applications, and presentations of research findings at scientific meetings.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, PsyD, or equivalent) with a research focus in clinical psychology, palliative care, oncology, music therapy, or an oncology-related field.
  • Hands-on experience with clinical research, including IRB protocols, data management, and patient-facing procedures.
  • Prior involvement in randomized clinical trials is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to break multi-phase research projects into structured timelines and execute deliverables independently on time.
  • Methodical, detail-oriented approach to research operations, including data management systems, regulatory documentation, and compliance tracking.
  • Proficiency in quantitative research methods and statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS, or similar).
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and commitment to cross-disciplinary learning.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
