About The Position

The lab of Dr. Stanley Lee in the Translational Science and Therapeutics Division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center seeks a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to work on independent and collaborative projects relating to the molecular pathogenesis of myeloid malignancies. The fellow will work in a dynamic, collaborative, multidisciplinary lab environment.

Requirements

• PhD in a relevant field, such as molecular biology, biochemistry, structural biology, or cell biology.
• Strong interest in basic hematology research.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong aptitude for collaboration and ability to work as a team player.
• Strong track record of productive research and high-quality publications.
• Strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and RNA biology.

Nice To Haves

• Background in mammalian cell culture, gene editing, flow cytometry, or bioinformatics.
• Strong track record of peer-reviewed publications and grant funding.
• Independence, accountability, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and drive to propel work forward.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and communicate research findings.
• Develop and optimize protocols and novel methodologies.
• Prepare manuscripts and grant applications.
• Present research and network at scientific conferences.
• Stay current with relevant publications and apply knowledge to research.
• Collaborate and present data with a wide range of stakeholders and partners.
• Train other lab members on protocols.
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
