Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington. With a track record of global leadership in bone marrow transplantation, HIV/AIDS prevention, immunotherapy and COVID-19 vaccines, Fred Hutch has earned a reputation as one of the world’s leading cancer, infectious disease and biomedical research centers. Fred Hutch operates eight clinical care sites that provide medical oncology, infusion, radiation, proton therapy and related services, and network affiliations with hospitals in five states. Together, our fully integrated research and clinical care teams seek to discover new cures to the world’s deadliest diseases and make life beyond cancer a reality. At Fred Hutch we value collaboration, compassion, determination, excellence, innovation, integrity and respect. Our mission is directly tied to the humanity, dignity and inherent value of each employee, patient, community member and supporter. Our commitment to learning across our differences and similarities make us stronger. We seek employees who bring different and innovative ways of seeing the world and solving problems. Two Post-Doctoral Research Fellow positions are immediately available in the Jiang Lab https://sites.google.com/view/yjianglab at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. The Jiang Lab develops programmable molecular systems with translational potential for cancer theranostics, with the goal of enabling more precise, responsive, and effective approaches to cancer detection and treatment ( K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award, 2025-2030; Nat Biotechnol 2025; Nat Biomed Eng 2022, etc. ). Working at the interface of chemistry, biology, engineering, and medicine, the Jiang Lab aims to create innovative molecular technologies that address unmet challenges in cancer therapy and diagnosis and ultimately make a meaningful difference for patients. Fred Hutch has more than 200 postdoctoral fellows working in labs across all five research divisions. We provide postdocs with the opportunity to work on the cutting edge of biomedical research in a supportive, collaborative environment with faculty and staff who are dedicated to helping their trainees achieve their career goals. In addition, both the Student/Postdoc Advisory Committee and the Office of Scientific Career Development offer diverse mentoring and career development opportunities.
