About The Position

The Post-Doctoral Research Fellow position will be responsible for biomechanical lab research projects and will work closely with the lab director and interface with other researchers, post-docs, residents and physicians.

Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree in Science and Engineering preferred; MD or PHD required
  • 2 Years’ Experience in a professional research laboratory, preferred in the field of clinical biomechanics, Gait analysis, Musculoskeletal modeling and experimental Design.
  • Extensive knowledge of current medical and biomechanical literature and research findings in related research areas.
  • Excellent familiarity with computational methods and simulation and knowledge of mathematical methods/algorithms used in musculoskeletal systems.
  • Able to develop tools for the analysis and visualization of biomechanical data.
  • Able to solve technical and inter-laboratory problems related to research.
  • Ability to prepare and author scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of 3D printing and CAD is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Endeavor Health impolicies and procedures that apply to the job's area of responsibility.
  • Ongoing growth and development from participation in events such as workshops, in-service programs, and professional meetings.
  • Manages, organizes, and plans the laboratory's experimental work in collaboration with the lab director and project principal investigator.
  • Designs, sets up, and conducts various complex experiments related to motion analysis, EMGs, and experimental validation.
  • Regularly reviews scientific literature. Evaluate and recommend applicable techniques and procedures.
  • Analyzes and prepares research outcome results and PPTs and peer review papers and abstracts.
  • Consult with professional research personnel regarding research design, experimental techniques, instrumentation, and scientific inference from research results.
  • Performs statistical analysis for all the experiments when needed.
  • Performs evidence-based analysis.
  • Performs related duties as required or assigned.
  • Participates in grant writing.
  • Participates in writing and submission of peer-reviewed manuscripts.
