About The Position

This Post-Doctoral Fellowship is within a behavioral health setting with adolescents, focusing on clinical environments based on evidence-based practices and outcomes. The fellow will work with dedicated professionals, participate in research and publication, gain exposure to other disciplines and networking opportunities, and consult across disciplines. The role involves presenting progress monitoring data to internal/external stakeholders and gaining post-doctoral exposure to youth and families with high acuity mental and behavioral health diagnoses. The fellowship includes CEUs, supervision toward licensure, supervisory training, and access to the ASCEND- Career Accelerator Program. The position is a one-year appointment starting in August 2026, pending continued funding. The fellowship will focus on clinical and research, including training and consultation for program-wide positive behavior interventions and supports (PWPBIS) across residential and acute inpatient programs. Additional clinical responsibilities include evaluation and consultation of individual clients, staff trainings on behavioral principles, and clinical interventions like Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Opportunities to carry a small PRTF or Acute Inpatient caseload may be available. The Fellow will contribute to dissemination activities, such as conference presentation preparation.

Requirements

  • Doctoral Degree in Psychology
  • Previous clinical experience in a behavioral health-care setting strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a lead role in PBIS Leadership Teams.
  • Coordinates Tiered Fidelity Index (TFI) evaluations with external evaluators.
  • Supports Doctoral Interns in completing PBIS data analysis and provides recommendations for Tier I, II and III interventions.
  • Presents data analysis in team settings and is responsive to questions from colleagues.
  • Consult with residential, school and psychiatric in-patient leadership teams to improve school, milieu climate and youth behavior.
  • Develop and implement training programs to promote evidenced-based practices and interventions. Training should include general behavioral principles, functional assessment, and general understanding of clinical orientations including Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
  • Conduct function-based assessments and interventions for individual students as needed.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of applied research; assist in writing research proposals; disseminate research findings at national conferences; provide mentoring and supervision to junior staff.
  • Ongoing development of PBIS fidelity monitoring.
  • Provide evidence based clinical therapies as indicated.
