The Davis laboratory at Emory University seeks a postdoctoral fellow in Pediatric Technologies and Devices. The project involves extensive work with induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and microfluidics. The fellow will assist in mentoring undergraduate and graduate students and write grants to help fund their work. The fellow helps design and conduct research in a specified field while receiving advanced training from a designated Principal Investigator to develop professional skills and research independence for a future career. The research area is determined by the department and laboratory. Responsibilities include designing and evaluating experiments, developing ideas to advance current research, preparing and publishing scientific manuscripts under the Principal Investigator’s direction, and potentially operating specific equipment. The fellow may also teach techniques, train, and supervise research staff. This is a temporary research trainee appointment. The initial appointment is for one year, with renewal expected if progress is satisfactory and funds are available. Appointments cannot exceed five years. The position must be performed in person at an Emory University location; remote work is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to the employee.
