The NYU Center for Cybersecurity (NYU CCS) at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Post Doctoral Associate with expertise in human-centered security, usable privacy, or technology-facilitated abuse to join an interdisciplinary team focused on defending under-resourced organizations from financial harm and cybercrime. This position provides an opportunity to shape a clinical research program that includes peer-reviewed research on cybersecurity threats. The successful candidate will collaborate with faculty across NYU Tandon School of Engineering and NYU School of Law to generate research from the front lines of community cybersecurity practice. The NYU Cybersecurity Clinic, established in 2026 with sustained multi-year funding from Craig Newmark Philanthropies, the Clinic delivers free, faculty-supervised cybersecurity services to nonprofits, community health clinics, shelters, legal aid organizations, K-12 schools, and micro-businesses across all five New York City boroughs. The Clinic is a member of the Consortium of Cybersecurity Clinics and coordinates with NYC Cyber Command, the New York State Chief Cyber Officer, and federal law enforcement partners.
