About The Position

This Postdoctoral Research Associate will develop novel optical, electrochemical, colorimetric, lateral flow and wearable sensors for various pathogens and analytes. The Research Associate should have an interest and research experience in biosensor development and performance using various receptors spanning proteins and antibodies, aptamers, nanoparticles, polymers, and small molecules from a variety of samples including sputum and cerebrospinal fluid ( CSF ) samples. Previous experience with cell biology and intracellular sensing, microfluidics, or 3D printing is a plus. In addition to bench research, the post-doctoral fellow will be actively involved with data analysis, writing scientific papers and grant proposals and presenting data at scientific meetings.

Requirements

• Experience with synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, biomaterials, polymers, hydrogels, and wearable and implantable biosensors.
• Experienced in applying these materials to three-dimensional (3D) cell culture models and translational diagnostics or similar.

• Previous experience with cell biology and intracellular sensing, microfluidics, or 3D printing.
• Skilled in the design, fabrication, and characterization of microfluidic systems, including continuous monitoring platforms.
• Skilled in advanced cell culture techniques and molecular and cellular assays.
