The UNC Biomedical Research Imaging Center (BRIC) seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate to develop novel probes for imaging and targeted therapy. Responsibilities include designing and synthesizing precursors, performing radiolabeling with isotopes such as F-18, C-11, Lu-177, or Ac-225 etc, and characterizing probes via radio-HPLC, LC-MS, and stability assays. The role also involves preclinical evaluation including in vitro binding, in vivo PET/SPECT/CT imaging, biodistribution studies, and supporting therapy efficacy studies. The ideal candidate holds a recent Ph.D. in radiochemistry, organic chemistry, or a related field with strong hands-on experience in multi-step synthesis, radiolabeling, and analytical techniques, and a commitment to radiation safety. Chapel Hill is located at the renowned research triangle park (RTP) in North Carolina. The cities in the RTP area were constantly ranked as the top 10 place for living in the United States.
