About The Position

This Postdoctoral Research Associate would support studies to examine a role for the tumor-intrinsic NLRP3 inflammasome in immune evasion associated with the process of tumor dormancy and treatment resistance persistor cell development, tumor relapse, and metastatic progression. This work would involve a combination of ex vivo tumor-T cell co-culture assays, the use of in vivo tumor models, and the utilization of tumor clinical specimens. Techniques would include the use of CRISPR /Cas9-targeted gene deletion, microbead and FACS cell purification, flow cytometry analysis, Western blot, qrt- PCR , ELISA , RNAseq, scRNAseq, micro-CT imaging, IHC , FISH , and proximity ligation assays. Additional work involving performing and analyzing spatial transcriptomics may also be involved.
