Dr. Yuru Wang’s lab in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to conduct research in the field of RNA modifications. The Wang lab develops and uses novel biochemical tools to study the regulatory installation, recognition, dynamics, and functions of important chemical modifications on RNA , including pseudouridine and inosine. The candidate can choose to pursue in one of the three directions listed below based on one’s own research background and interest: 1. Novel technology development to probing RNA modifications in vitro and in living cells. 2. Roles of RNA modifications in mitochondria function and innate immunity. 3. Mechanisms governing the selective installation of RNA modifications and precise site-directed modulation based on these understandings.
