The Hammer Lab in the Department of Pathology has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow who shares our passion for discovery. The position will be based at the University of Utah School of Medicine, ranked among the top 30 public research universities in the nation. Projects are broadly focused on the dynamics between host and microbe (both pathogen and commensal), and the utilization of cellular immunology and next-generation sequencing-based metagenomics for identifying epigenetic mechanisms of trained immunity for both innate and adaptive immune cells. Disease focus in the lab includes inflammatory bowel disease, infectious disease, liver fibrosis, colorectal cancer, immunotherapy, and the intersection of age and the microbiome.
