About The Position

The POS Audit Assistant is responsible for the preparation of daily closeouts by comparing daily sales to financial reports for errors. Our responsibilities include maintaining logs and secure files, which serve as supporting documents to verify payments. We work closely with internal and field managers to ensure all errors are corrected by the end of the company’s monthly calendar. Our department reports Accounting and Audit, which contributes to accurate accounting journal entries, and accountability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent associated degree
  • 1-3 years of working experience related to finance, banking, etc.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Excel with room to advance
  • Ability to interpret company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to write concise reports to various audiences.
  • Ability to adapt to and learn new software.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of an organization.
  • Must be able to meet tight Deadlines.
  • Ability to work in an Office setting.
  • Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for maintaining accurate detailed closeouts while maintaining all department logs.
  • Punctual reporting of all overages/shortage and any out of compliance issues by the end of each reporting month.
  • Preparation of detailed closeouts, emails, and closeout folders
  • Perform detailed reviews of retail transactions with the ability to identify errors
  • Assist stores with general instructions on how to resolve errors
  • Support the business operations by reviewing financial results and assisting with the delivery of supporting documents.
  • Demonstrates attentions to details, analytical and critical thinking and basic arithmetic skills
  • Ability to work under pressure demonstrates initiative and priority of workload which includes the ability to be organized, maintain accurate logs, able to follow up with field and internal management, and able to compose prompt detailed reporting emails
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills that promote mutually beneficial, respectful, and professional relationships.
