About The Position

This role involves a comprehensive review of collateral and all property elements, ensuring portfolio and investor compliance, and adherence to credit policy and procedures. The underwriter will generate self-employed income through tax return analysis, clearly document underwriting decisions, and prepare customer commitments detailing additional conditions.

Requirements

• Demonstrated strong knowledge of underwriting self employed individuals.
• Demonstrate full knowledge of collateral and appraisal understanding and have experience with unique properties.
• Full knowledge of condominiums and cooperative lending.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of five years non-conforming/portfolio underwriting experience.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree preferred.
