About The Position

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Portfolio Specialist – Contracts. The Portfolio Specialist plays a key role in supporting the sales and services team by owning the commercial offering and converting customer demand and tender opportunities into compliant, profitable service contracts and building the capabilities of the Parts & Services sales organization to sell them. This role ensures that all commercial activities are handled efficiently, accurately, and economically while aligning with strategic business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Technical Diploma or relevant work experience.
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and Salesforce).
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team.
  • Flexible, self-motivated with demonstrated initiative.
  • Ability to develop knowledge of customer business processes.
  • Excellent customer relations and active listening skills.
  • Highly developed time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Valid passport.
  • Travelling as needed to visit customers to promote Sandvik service contracts.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous sales experience is an asset.
  • Mining industry experience, specifically in maintenance and/or contracts management is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Align contract processes with global standards, implementing updates and supporting sales teams in their application.
  • Build on and enhance commercial strategies and frameworks to develop offerings and bid responses.
  • Enable and facilitate sales and service activities across business functions to ensure seamless integration of commercial offerings through the contract award and handover process.
  • Collaborate with sales and service teams to market and position offerings to customers, translating technical service capability into compelling customer value propositions.
  • Monitor sales performance, identify improvement opportunities and optimize processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support commercial compliance in CRM and manage complex contracts to maintain strong customer relations.
  • Drive revenue and gross profit objectives in coordination with the National Services Manager.
  • Stay informed on industry trends impacting services and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, regulations, and company guidelines, promoting a safe work environment.
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned by the manager.
