About The Position

At Bayer, we are seeking a Portfolio Pricing Manager for the Corn States portfolio (corn, soy, cotton, wheat). This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and owning the pricing models and the pricing plan to achieve commercial targets. The position involves translating assumptions into a priced portfolio plan, running scenarios, and pressure-testing numbers. Once the plan is set, the manager will track and measure performance against the P&L, maintaining a view of price realization versus plan. This role requires analyzing in-season market data to identify trends, competitive positioning, and deviations from commercial targets, drawing clear insights, and presenting them to customer-facing teams to drive action. The manager will also propose plans to mitigate deviations, support the modeling of marketing programs and incentives, and provide pricing and mix inputs for production planning. Collaboration with customer-facing teams (SAMs, TPRs) is essential to ground assumptions in market reality and to land pricing guidance. Maintaining working knowledge of competitive trait offerings, list and net pricing, and share dynamics, along with ensuring data quality, documentation, and process discipline, are key aspects of this role. This position is based in St. Louis, with relocation support offered.

  • Results orientation with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Track and measure the pricing plan through the season and deliver on the P&L, maintaining a running view of price realization versus plan.
  • Analyze in-season market data (forecasts, Order Bank, competitive offers and other reports) to identify trends, competitive positioning and deviations from commercial targets.
  • Draw clear insights from that data and build the storyline behind them; present and position the analysis to the customer-facing teams so it drives action.
  • Propose concrete plans to prevent or mitigate in-season deviations to the plan.
  • Support in modeling the impact of marketing programs, incentives and discount structures; and support their execution.
  • Support the Y1+Y2 production planning process with pricing and mix inputs.
