About The Position

The Operations Analysts play an integral role in the four essential job functions within the Portfolio Operations Department. This role offers a rare opportunity to develop expertise across virtually every major asset class—including ETFs, mutual funds, swaps, futures, options, fixed income, equities, repo, and global markets—rather than specializing in a single product area. It provides exposure to the full investment lifecycle, working alongside Portfolio Managers, Traders, Capital Markets, and external market participants to support over $100 billion in assets. Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Two to four years of related experience preferred.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Excel proficiency preferred.
  • Familiarity with Middle Office systems, Colline, Geneva, Markit, desirable.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of derivative securities including futures, options, and swaps is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Barra, and other industry standard systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Derivative Operations: Manage collateral, confirm and settle OTC post-settlement lifecycle payments, issue and respond to margin calls, resolve margin disagreements, process swap confirmations, process ETF CR/RD confirmations, monitor liquidity needs and process collateral substitutions, monitor counterparty exposure, and learn ISDA CSA and other margin-related documentation.
  • Trade Operations: Manage post-execution processes including confirmation, settlement, TMPG claims, and class actions. Process confirmations, research and resolve fails and claims, manage reporting, work with dealers and custodians, investigate failing trades and pre-matching issues, perform daily trade affirmation, and report portfolio transactions.
  • Corporate Actions: Capture and process corporate action events accurately and timely, including mandatory and voluntary event types. Post and reconcile corporate actions within internal systems, research and collect corporate action-related activity (e.g., dividends, splits, mergers, tender offers), project T+1 actions, and maintain the security master file.
  • Fund Accounting/Reporting: Assist in calculating and processing fund and account activities, including Net Asset Value (NAV) and IIV calculation, reporting, and reconciliation. Support data review and validation, validate NAVs with external fund accountants, identify and resolve breaks, reconcile end-of-day portfolio composition, verify portfolio NAV, and ensure timely delivery of portfolio performance and characteristics.
